The Los Angeles Rams were without starter Rob Havenstein for the last two games after he suffered an ankle injury in Week 9. Joe Noteboom replaced him in Week 10, but it was Warren McClendon Jr. who stepped in (and played well). the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon.
Sean McVay shared an update on Havenstein during his media session on Monday that was positive. It sounds like Havenstein has a chance to return against the Eagles this week when the Rams host their 8-2 opponents on Sunday Night Football.
Update on Rob Havenstein's injury
McVay told reporters that Havenstein is trending in the right direction and that there is a chance he will play against Philadelphia.
“There is a possibility. I think he’s trending in the right direction,” McVay said of Havenstein. “We do it day by day. He's one of those guys that we've talked to some of these veterans about. He really understands his body, but I know he's eager to get back out there and he'll do everything in his power to make that happen. We just want to make sure he’s ready to go, but he’s assuming that’s a possibility.”
How long will Rob Havenstein be out?
Havenstein has been out the past two weeks and has missed a total of three games this year, including the season opener. It's unclear how long he'll be out for, but there's a chance he could return this week.
