To say that Derek Stingley Jr. is playing well would be an understatement. Over the last month, he has looked like one of, if not the best, cornerbacks in the NFL. In four games, he was targeted 20 times and allowed five catches for 41 yards with no touchdowns and one interception, culminating in an opponent passer rating of 18.75, the lowest in the league.
Since Tennessee traded DeAndre Hopkins last month, Calvin Ridley has been playing at an All-Pro level. In four games without Hopkins, he had 38 scores, 24 receptions, 358 yards and two touchdowns.
Houston could opt to have Stingley cover Ridley all game to calm the veteran receiver down.

DeMeco Ryans said Stingley traveled with CeeDee Lamb on Monday, which is partly true. He covered Lamb on 19 routes and allowed two catches for 17 yards. However, Stingley did not switch sides to follow Lamb. Stingley went to the playoffs last year with Amari Cooper, eliminating Cleveland's top option.
