Police were called to Francesco Totti's home after he was accused by his estranged wife of leaving their eight-year-old daughter home alone.
Ilary Blasi claims that she received a call from her daughter during this time Totti was gone.

The couple is currently divorcing after separating two years ago.
Totti and Blasi tied the knot live on Italian television in 2005 and have three children together.
Their eldest child, 19-year-old Cristian, is also a soccer player in the Italian fourth division with Olbia.
But his father, who became world champion, is now the subject of a serious accusation from Blasi.
Speaking about the story, Italian journalist Daniele Fisichella told Hawksbee and Jacobs: “The latest chapter is the woman's accusation against Totti of leaving her eight-year-old daughter Isabel home alone while he went away.”
“So now there is an official investigation by the authorities in Rome.
“It supposedly happened almost a year ago. And apparently the daughter, this young girl, whose name is (her) mother and who also happens to be a famous TV presenter in Italy, is called Ilary Blasi.
“The police knocked on Totti's door and a woman, supposedly a babysitter, answered the door.
“It is not clear whether it was actually a babysitter. Totti was gone, or it was the concierge who worked in Totti's apartment. But yeah, it’s just the final chapter.”
“And if someone wants to write a TV series, 'The Totti', that could of course be part of it. To be fair, it has been going on like this for two years.”

A source close to Totti said, as quoted by The times: “The claim was untrue. His daughter was at home with a professional babysitter and after Totti returned home he spoke to police to explain this.”
The Times report adds that Totti could choose to sue Blasi for defamation over her allegations that he left their youngest daughter home alone.
Totti and his wife were called “the Italian Beckhams” during their 17-year marriage.
Blasi is also known in Italy for her career as a model and TV presenter.
Now it is The legend retired in 2017 at the age of 40 after scoring 307 goals in 785 appearances for the club.
