The Indianapolis Colts held two practices on Tuesday.
The team announced this and the corresponding move to make room for him was the release of defensive end Derek Rivers.
Throughout the season, the Colts have regularly shaken up the back end of their practice squad.
Rivers is a former third-round pick by New England in 2017 and played 336 defensive snaps and 119 on special teams in his career. He joined the Colts' roster in the second half of training camp when the team needed defensive depth.
Rivers' final snaps of the regular season came during the 2021 regular season while he was with the Houston Texans. According to PFF, in his 210 career pass-rush snaps, he recorded 14 pressures and four sacks, as well as 27 total tackles, five of which were for a loss.
Rivers played 34 defensive snaps in the Colts' final two preseason games last summer. He was then released during the roster cuts, but was brought back to the training squad on September 24th, where he remained until Tuesday.
Of note is the addition of Brooks at the tackle position. . We currently have no further information regarding Raimann's availability this week.
While Brooks is by no means expected to play, his addition provides more training depth at the position if needed.
